01/ KAIST Develops Vertical Flexible Micro LED to Promote Hair Growth

 

Recently, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) has developed a Micro LED wearable device that uses vertical Micro LEDs to successfully help mice re-grow their hair.

 

The device was tested on a back of a mouse that shaved hair using a flexible array of 900 vertical Micro LEDs. After 20 consecutive days of treatment, the hair growth of the mice was significantly faster than that of the untreated mice. Moreover, after treatment, the newly grown hair of the mouse is longer and the hair area is wider.

2. Precautions during winding.(1) three layers of insulation wire is to rely on the film to strengthen the insulation.If the film is subjected to mechanical stress or thermal stress and serious deformation, damage, umbrella safety standards can not be guaranteed.(2) transformer skeleton must not have burr, contact wire corner part to be smooth (forming chamfer).The inner diameter of the outlet nozzle shall be 2-3 times the outer diameter of the conductor.(3) cut the end of the wire is very sharp, do not close to the wire film.

3.Method of stripping the capsule.Special equipment such as three-layer insulated wire stripping machine and adjustable film stripping machine should be used to peel the film.It is characterized by melting the coating on one side and stripping on the other side, so the wire will not be damaged.If the ordinary wire stripping machine is used to remove the insulation film, the wire may be stretched thin or even broken.

4.Welding device.There are two devices for welding three layers of insulated wire.A static type soft solder groove, suitable for welding Φ 0.40 mm below the three layers of insulation.When brazing, move horizontally in the solder groove and vibrate the coil frame (as shown in the right picture) to complete the welding work in a short time.In order to prevent the film from melting due to long-time immersion in the solder groove, the method of repeating 2-3 times welding is also adopted.The other welding device is a jet solder groove with air cooling, which can weld multiple coil frames at the same time and is suitable for mass production.

A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor solid-state light-emitting device, uses a solid semiconductor chip as a light-emitting material. When a forward voltage is applied to both ends, carriers in the semiconductor recombine to cause photon emission to generate light.


The material used in LEDs is essentially aluminum-gallium-arsenide (AlGaAs). In its original state, the atoms of this material are strongly bonded. Without free electrons, it is impossible to conduct electricity here.

Here, let’s interview the Engineer Mr. Steven from Smarts Electronic and talk more about the deal with the defective products within warranty?

 

Question: How should you do if you found any defective products within warranty?

 

Answer:

We give 7 years warranty for UL list non-dimmable & dimmable led driver. ,2-3 years warranty for ETL list led driver. If clients use properly, hardly any of feedback from our clients about the led drivers can not work or damaged during warranty time

If you have received feedback about defective led driver from your clients, pls. ask your engineer help us verify the things as following:

--What kind of led light they used ?? What specifications of this led light?? output power / output voltage / output current??

--Check the label and ensure the driver has the proper input voltage and wattage for the job. Pls. not install overload / overvoltage / overcurrent. That will great damage lifetime of led drivers.

--Do clients have correct connection? and if they use proper dimmer ?

--what is environment temperature when led driver working on?

Install only in dry or damp locations. Do not install in wet locations. /  Install in a well-ventilated area free from explosive gases and vapors.

--How long does the led drivers working everyday? Do not let the led drivers working 24/7(24hours and a week).

 

We do not make up for new replacement if we find damage cames from inappropriate use of clients, But if confirm that damage cames from dimmable led driver itself, pls collect and keep all defective drivers. For plastic case led driver, we will request you take down green terminal of input and output sides /  For aluminum  case led driver, we will request you cut input and output cable at both terminals , and then take pictures for us.

 

Sometimes, our engineer will request you return the defective drivers to us for test It all depends of course, we will pay the returning  shipping fee if we request you return the defective drivers

 

There have three situations for shipping cost if we agree to make up for new replacement, they are:

--If defective aluminum case led driver less than 5pcs, or defective plastic case led driver less than 10pcs. and you need it urgently, we can send it out via DHL in advance

 

--If defective numbers are large (aluminum case led driver more than 5pcs /  plastic case led driver more than 10pcs),  we hope that send replacement with you next order by air freight or by sea freight. We will calculate the shipping cost of our defective drivers from your air or sea freight

 

 

--If defective numbers are large (aluminum case led driver more than 5pcs /  plastic case led driver more than 10pcs),  and you still request us send via DHL.  I am afraid that the shipping cost should pay by your side.

In order to prevent the thunder stroke surge to disturb the LED lighting normal work, a lightning surge protection of a constant current power supply / constant voltage power supply power is designed, which is composed of GDT, MOV and TVS, according to the characteristics of lightning surges.
